Having an operation, no matter how big or small, can have a significant impact on the body tissue.  Whether it’s an operation for neutering, an orthopaedic condition or emergency surgery, the therapy provided my the Canine Bodywork Clinic (CBC) can be integrated as part of a multidisciplinary team to aid your dog’s recovery process. 

Certain surgeries will require physiotherapy as part of the rehabilitation, and CBC can work in conjunction to address specific muscular issues that would otherwise hinder the rehabilitation process.  By working together, the aim is to ensure your dog’s recovery is quick and painless as possible.

Led by your veterinary surgeon, therapy provided by CBC can be introduced, even working alongside other modalities.  CBC can provide:

·      Pain management

·      Improved range of movement

·      Help to remodel scar tissue

·      Address areas of overcompensation and muscle splinting

·      Help to reduce swelling or oedema

·      Myofascial pain relief

·      Help weight bearing/balance

·      Aid blood flow to wound area to speed up repair process
